Cinderhall MIDI Pack Licence
Version 1.1
Effective date: 2026-10-20
1. Grant. When you buy a Cinderhall MIDI pack, or download a free one from Cinderhall's official store, Cinderhall grants you, the licensee described in section 2, a non-exclusive, perpetual, worldwide licence to use the MIDI files in your own musical works. Free downloads are covered by the same terms as paid ones, unless they come with their own licence file, in which case that licence applies. Cinderhall grants this licence directly, as the copyright owner of the files, and where it gives you broader rights than a store's or platform's standard terms (such as Payhip's End User Licence), this licence governs those rights.
2. Who the licensee is. The licence is for one person, one band, or one studio.
- One person: you, for your own works.
- One band: the band and its members, for that band's works. A member may not use the files in other projects under the band's licence.
- One studio: the studio business and the people working for it, for works the studio produces. The studio may use the files in works it produces for its clients (see section 6). The client receives the finished work but does not receive the MIDI files and does not get its own licence to them.
3. People working on your project. You may give the MIDI files to a mix engineer, producer, session player, arranger or other person you engage to work on a specific project of yours, only so they can work on that project. They may not use the files for anything else, may not share them, and must delete their copies when their work on the project ends. You are responsible for making sure they follow these terms.
4. Royalty-free use. You may record, release, perform, stream, sync and sell music you make with these files, commercial or not, with no further fees or credit required.
5. Beats and instrumentals. You may sell, lease or license beats, instrumentals and other music that use the files to other artists or clients, as long as the files are part of a finished, rendered composition (audio, including audio stems or trackouts of your composition). You may not give the buyer or licensee the MIDI files, a MIDI export of the parts made with them, or a DAW project or other editable file that contains them. Because other buyers can use the same files, you may not grant anyone exclusive rights in the Cinderhall material itself, and you may not register a work that consists mainly of unedited Cinderhall files with a content-identification system (such as YouTube Content ID).
6. Client work. Works you produce for a client (for example as a studio, producer or composer for hire) count as your musical works under this licence, on the conditions in sections 2 and 5: the client gets the finished work, not the MIDI files.
7. Edits. You may edit, transpose, re-voice, cut and combine the files freely inside your works.
8. Not allowed. You may not resell, share, upload, give away or redistribute the MIDI files themselves, alone or bundled, edited or not, including in sample packs, MIDI packs, templates, presets, libraries or AI/ML training sets. Sharing under section 3 is the only exception.
9. DAW projects and templates. You may keep the files in your own DAW projects and templates for your own use. You may not sell, share, give away or distribute a DAW project, template, construction kit, preset or similar file that contains the MIDI files or the parts made with them in MIDI or another editable form, edited or not, except with the people described in section 3 for the project they are working on. A finished, rendered audio mix of your work is not affected by this section.
10. Ownership and origin. Cinderhall keeps ownership of the files. The files are programmed MIDI, composed by Cinderhall with our own algorithmic and AI-assisted tools.
11. No warranty. Files are provided as is. Compatibility with any specific DAW, instrument or plugin is not guaranteed.
12. Refunds and support. Refunds: digital files are refundable within 14 days of the order date if a file is faulty or not as described; we offer a fix first. A free download has no charge to refund, but we will still try to fix a faulty file. This does not limit any rights you have under consumer protection law that cannot be waived. Support: [email protected]
13. Ending the licence. If you break this licence, it ends automatically, and you must stop using the files and delete your copies. Music you released in line with this licence before it ended stays licensed.
14. Effective date and earlier buyers. This licence applies to purchases and downloads made on or after 2026-10-20. If you bought or downloaded a Cinderhall pack before that date, you keep the licence terms that came with it, and nothing in this version takes away anything those terms gave you.
15. Language. This English text is the official version and governs. A French translation (LICENCE-FR.txt) is provided for convenience only. If the two differ, the English text applies.

Licence des packs MIDI Cinderhall
Version 1.1
